Seward Community Co-op was founded in 1972 by Jerry and Deane Dodge, [Butch?] Hughes, Phyllis Scott, and Don Barton. The co-op was opened in a storefront located at 22nd Street and Franklin Avenue, Minneapolis, Minnesota.
